But there are a select few items that once believed I'd always loathe - the main one being Uggs. And now Dropsnap and Kera Street Snap are causing me to reconsider one of the most hated items in the blogosphere.
Because really, once you take away the obnoxious, velour-sweatsuit-wearing connations, all that Uggs really are are a pair of fuzzy boots that according to other people (honestly, I have never worn a pair) are extremely warm and comfortable. And what's so horrible about that?
I don't think I'll be buying my own pair anytime soon though. I may be a hypocrite but I'm also quite cheap.

i like colored uggs better than the brown ones. sometimes they look like walking casts though.
i think uggs are fine, in theory. if shoes can be that comfy and warm, then they're a winner.
BUT. what i really really hate is that when i walk through the hallways at school, at least 70% of the girls are wearing uggs, and that just pisses me off.
So I choose to hate them.
Uggs do make your feet look like gingerbread men feet, but they really are warm/soft. I have a pair, and I wear them around when I feel sick or lazy or just don't want to bother!

those japanese girls make them look amazing! and they are REALLY comfortable. but you have to have some seeeriously crazy good style like those girls (and you) in order to pull that shit off, because otherwise uggs are, well, UGH. ;D

Meh, I love my Uggs. I don't really care if a ton of other people have them, and I don't care if most "fashionistas" look down on me for wearing them. It's cold where I live and they're so damn comfortable and warm, fuck it. Besides, in all honesty, what other ATTRACTIVE boots are there that are as comfy/warm? None.. it seems that people who rebel against Uggs end up getting rainboot/snowboot monstrosities that, while they may be "ironic" are just as UGGly. So I'll stick with mine :)

Uggs are major major comfy & some people CAN pull them off. However, most people wear them while decked out in Hollister, which doesn't make them look so wonderful. Also, they can look quite hideous & club-like.

Are those Uggs? They look like better looking Ugg knockoffs. Uggs are rounder at the toe, no? I always thought that were its ugliness came from.

It's all good-- I've never bought a pair of Uggs, either. I don't think I can; they become the general uniform for everyone during winter at my school.

I love the comfort.
Ugggs, noo! I actually don't mind the grey crochet ones, though. And I have no qualms if people wear them around the house because they're comfy (I wear some pretty heinous ensembles when not in public), but I generally can't stand the way they look.
P.S. -Anyone remember when leggings were the most hated objects on the blogosphere? Now nobody gives a shit. Times they are a-changing.

I have a pair of uggs, and I really like them. I mean, I don't wear them with hollister and abercrombie and shit, but like "Anonymous" said, where I live it's fucking COLD. They are a salvation for extremley cold feet, and if worn the right way, (like these amazing Japanese girls) then they can look fine!
